Enabling DTrace in Solaris Non-Global Zones

Use the zonecfg limitpriv property to add the dtrace_proc and dtrace_user privileges.

global# zonecfg -z my-zone
zonecfg:my-zone> set limitpriv=”default,dtrace_proc,dtrace_user”
zonecfg:my-zone> verify
zonecfg:my-zone> commit
zonecfg:my-zone> exit

reboot the local zone and issue dtrace -l to find out dtrace is able to display all probes.

This is well documented in DTrace users guide & Solaris Sysadmin guide.
